“This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” (Psalm 118:23)
There are moments in life when we can only step back and say, look what the Lord has done.
Moments when what once felt hopeless is suddenly filled with life. Moments when despair gives way to joy. Moments when we realize—God was working all along.
That’s what we celebrate today.
This Easter devotional reminds us that the resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event—it is the defining moment of our deliverance.
Today’s Devotional Thought
Psalm 117 and 118 bring the Passover Psalms to a powerful conclusion.
They are filled with praise, testimony, and awe at the faithfulness of God. Over and over, one truth rises to the surface:
His love endures forever.
For the people of Israel, this was deeply personal. They had been delivered from generations of oppression. What once looked like the end of their story became the beginning of something new.
Through their deliverance, the world saw the power and glory of God.
And yet, this story was pointing to something even greater.
Jesus became the fulfillment of these Psalms.
“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.”
He was not the Deliverer people expected—but He was exactly the Deliverer we needed.
Rejected. Crucified. Buried.
And then—on the third day—raised to life.
This is the day the Lord has made.
The day sin was defeated.
The day death lost its grip.
The day new life in Jesus became possible for all.
What This Means for Us
Easter is more than a celebration—it’s a declaration.
It tells us that no situation is beyond God’s power to redeem.
Whether you’re in Garland, TX or nearby communities like Plano, Richardson, Murphy, Rowlett, or Wylie, every life carries moments of struggle, loss, or uncertainty.
But this truth remains:
God’s love is greater than any situation you face.
Across Dallas County, Collin County, and Rockwall County, people are discovering that the same God who delivered Israel—and raised Jesus from the grave—is still delivering lives today.
- Where there was brokenness, He brings healing
- Where there was despair, He brings hope
- Where there was death, He brings life
This is the message of every Christian devotion during this season: because of Jesus, your story is not over.
Through Him, we have hope in Christ—a hope that is alive, active, and unshakable.
A Moment to Reflect
Take a moment today and reflect:
- Where have I seen God’s faithfulness in my life?
- What has Jesus brought me out of that I need to remember today?
- How can I share my story as a testimony of faith and encouragement to others?
Look What the Lord Has Done
When we look back, we begin to see it:
God was always working.
Through every high and every low…
Through every unanswered question…
Through every moment we thought we were alone…
His love endured.
This Easter devotional reminds us that our testimony is proof of that love.
We are the new Exodus people—delivered, restored, and given a future through Jesus.
And today, we don’t just remember what He has done—we celebrate it.
Because the resurrection wasn’t the end of the story.
It was the beginning of ours.
So today, lift your voice, reflect on your journey, and declare it boldly:
Look what the Lord has done.
