Classes
Importance of Apostolic Doctrine (Steven Schobert) // As you trace the Pentecostal message from its birth to the 21st century, you will gain a greater appreciation for biblical truth, and for the courageous people who sacrificed to preserve it for our generation.
Intro to the Word (Jim Littles) // This course will fill you with fresh respect and revelation for the Holiness of God. It correctly teaches holiness as a divine principle that must be perfected in everyone who calls himself or herself a disciple of Christ. You will learn that holiness must first begin in the heart, before it can effectively shine out to others.
Apostolic Patterns and Methods (John Hargrove) // This course promotes a burden for souls and inspires the student to reach out to the people around them with the Gospel through simple, effective methods.
Leadership (Frank Starkey) // Pastoral topics are covered by experienced, anointed instructors chosen by the local campus Dean. They will challenge all present to dig deeper, reach higher and let God use their lives for His glory.

Purpose Institute Vision
The burden of Purpose Institute is to make Apostolic training available anywhere in the world, enabling workers to develop ministry skills and discover individual purpose. The training is designed to raise the quality of ministry coming from every level of leadership—not just those entering full-time ministry. It is training that can happen without interrupting other duties (i.e. family, work, local church ministry obligations). Every believer has a God-given purpose that emerges as they apply themselves to ministry and study to show themselves approved of God. Purpose Institute helps leaders discover and prepare for their purpose—their place in the harvest.
Age Requirement
Purpose Institute requires that students be at least 16 years old.
Academic Requirement
A high school diploma or equivalent is not required to attend Purpose Institute; however, the learning required to achieve high school graduation is certainly an aid to students who desire to perform well. Generally, our students have already qualified themselves on some level as leaders, and therefore a diploma is not a factor. The goal of Purpose Institute is to assist motivated learners in qualifying themselves to better lead the ministries in which they are already involved.
Time Requirement
Most Purpose Institute campuses use a one-weekend per month format which allows students with busy schedules including work, family, and church the opportunity to invest in ministry training. In addition to the 44 hours of classroom training per semester, students must devote time between sessions to read required books, answer review questions, write essays, and to participate in field experience. Semesters end with testing in each of the subjects.
Pastoral Approval
Students must certify they have their pastor’s approval to enroll in Purpose Institute.
