There are moments in life when we feel completely stuck—no clear path forward, no obvious solution, just uncertainty.

That’s exactly where the people of Israel found themselves at the Red Sea. And it’s often where many of us find ourselves today.

As we continue this Easter devotional journey from Passover to resurrection, Pastor Dustin Hanson reminds us of a powerful truth: when God moves, nothing can stand in His way.

“Look what the Lord has done.”

Today’s Devotional Thought

Psalm 114 is a vivid reminder of God’s power on display.

When Israel stood at the edge of the Red Sea, they were out of options. But they were not out of hope. The same God who brought them out of Egypt was about to make a way where there was none.

“The sea looked and fled.”

Creation itself responded to the voice of God. The waters parted. The mountains trembled. The earth shook.

Why?

Because all of creation is subject to Him.

Pastor Hanson highlights that this moment wasn’t just about power—it was about love. God moved heaven and earth to rescue His people.

And once again, this story points us to Jesus.

Jesus, the Creator, stepped into creation. He humbled Himself, became a servant, and went to the cross. And when He gave His life to defeat sin and death, the earth responded again—darkness fell, the ground shook, and the veil was torn.

This is the same message we celebrate during Easter: no power, seen or unseen, can stop the redemptive work of God.

What This Means for Us

Maybe today you feel like you’re standing at your own “Red Sea.”

No clear direction. No visible solution. Just pressure, fear, or uncertainty.

Whether you’re in Garland, TX or nearby communities like Plano, Richardson, Murphy, Rowlett, or Wylie, life can feel overwhelming. But this truth still stands:

God still makes a way.

Across Dallas County, Collin County, and Rockwall County, people are discovering that the same God who parted the sea is still working today.

  • He still breaks chains
  • He still opens doors
  • He still brings hope in Christ

The message of this Christian devotion is simple but powerful:
If God could move the sea, He can move whatever stands in front of you.

Through the resurrection of Jesus, the greatest barrier—sin—has already been overcome. What once separated us from God has been removed, and now we walk in new life in Jesus.

A Moment to Reflect

Take a moment and reflect on this today:

  • What feels impossible in my life right now?
  • Where do I need to trust God even when I don’t see a path forward?
  • Who in my life needs to hear about the faith and encouragement I’ve found in Jesus?

Look What the Lord Has Done

When we pause and remember, we begin to see the pattern:

God makes a way.

He parted the Red Sea.
He shook the earth at the cross.
He walked out of the grave.

And He is still moving today.

This Easter devotional reminds us that miracles are not just stories from the past—they are evidence of a God who is still active, still powerful, and still reaching for people.

Redemption is not limited. It’s open to anyone willing to follow Him.

So the question becomes:
If God has gone to such great lengths to reach us… how far will we go to share that hope with others?
