God Revealed

When God said, “Let there be,” every element there is began moving on the planet and in the universe.

By Bishop D.G. Hargrove

Text: John 1:1-14; Matthew 4:1-4

The Word is eternal. The Word is God (John 1:1). The Word is the Creator (v.3). He is the source of all life (v.4). He is the source of salvation (v.12). He is the Word made flesh (v. 14). He is the image of the invisible God (v.14). Jesus is God manifest in the flesh.

We must get in the Word of God in order to know God. One thing we should do is fill our atmosphere (homes, cars, etc.) with the Word by playing an audio Bible. The greatest way God reveals Himself to us is through His Word. It is transforming, activating creating, revealing, and powerful. The power of the Word goes out and communicates direction and purpose for our life.

Our purpose is to propagate the kingdom and honor the King. However, often times we do not engage in our God-given purpose. However, we must quit measuring ourselves with others, and we must not talk ourselves out of what God needs us to do.
