North Cities Sanctuary Move—Sunday, June 5, 2016
North Cities has been blessed over the years to enjoy steady growth by seeing people born again into the Kingdom. With that growth comes the need for additional space to effectively conduct ministry. There has been ongoing planning for several years to ensure there is adequate space to facilitate the numerous ministries North Cities provides.
In 2006, the vision was cast for the expansion project that is currently underway. Four years later, the project launched with architectural designs, construction drawings, and the permits needed to begin construction. In April 2014, Phase One began with the construction of our 23,000 square foot, multi-purpose building. We are excited that this new space is now complete, with a variety of ministries and fellowship activities taking place throughout the week, helping people connect to others and their purpose.
The Wednesday evening worship service on June 1 will be the last service held in our current sanctuary. On Sunday, June 5, North Cities will hold our first worship service at 10:00 AM in the new gymnasium. We are excited for this change, as it will allow us to prepare for the expansion of our sanctuary and provide more seating capacity than our current space allows.
The sanctuary will undergo large-scale renovations, including new theater-style seating that will increase seating capacity by 50 percent, high efficiency lighting, new sound equipment, and a re-designed platform.
This next phase of expansion and growth is only part of our overall God-centered vision to see the Metroplex evangelized. The vision of North Cities remains the same: Connecting people to God, to others, and to their purpose. Each phase of our expansion project is designed to add purposeful space to help accomplish this. We are excited for what the future holds, and our heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone who continues to give prayer and support throughout this expansion. Together, we are building North Cities!
