“Out of sight; out of mind” is a familiar saying. Yet in 2 Thessalonians 2:17-2, Paul writes to the church of Thessalonica of his longing to see them face-to-face though he could not. His words illustrate his love for them. Love can prevail through separation, and distance can make the heart grow fonder.

The power of love determines what stays on our minds. Isaiah 49:16 says we are engraved in the palms of God’s hands. He never stops loving and thinking of us. Bishop Hargrove brings alive a message of hope, showing us distance is not a factor in God’s love for us.
