Revival doesn’t happen by accident.

Revival happens when ordinary believers decide they will participate in what God wants to do.

In a powerful midweek message at North Cities Church in Garland, Texas, Dr. Braden Andersen reminded us of a truth that every church must embrace: revival requires participation.

God is ready to move.
The question is whether we are ready to respond.

From Acts 1:8 to practical evangelism, this message challenged believers across Garland, Plano, Murphy, Richardson, Rowlett, Wylie, and the surrounding communities of Collin County, Dallas County, and Rockwall County to become active participants in the harvest God is preparing.

The Power of the Holy Spirit Was Always Meant to Multiply

Dr. Andersen began with Acts 1:8:

“You shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses… to the ends of the earth.”

The purpose of the Holy Spirit was never meant to stop with us.
It was always meant to spread through us.

The gospel was designed to reach Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth—including our neighborhoods right here in North Texas.

That means:

  • Your coworkers in Plano

  • Your neighbors in Murphy

  • Students in Richardson

  • Families in Rowlett

  • Communities throughout Garland and Wylie

They are not unreachable.

They are ready for revival.

Revival in Garland Starts With Participation

As North Cities prepares for the Jesus Tent Revival, believers were reminded that revival requires more than attendance—it requires engagement.

Across the country, the Jesus Tent Revival movement has seen lives transformed through simple evangelism and Spirit-filled worship.

But Dr. Andersen emphasized something critical:

Revival doesn’t happen because an evangelist arrives.
Revival happens because a church participates.

That participation looks like:

  • Sharing the event with friends

  • Inviting neighbors

  • Praying for breakthrough

  • Engaging in worship

  • Working the altar

  • Helping people encounter Jesus

When the entire church participates, revival becomes unstoppable.

Small Invitations Can Change Eternity

One of the most powerful truths shared in the message was this:

You do not have to feel deeply spiritual to change someone’s eternity.

Many believers wait until they feel inspired or emotional before inviting someone to church.

But evangelism is not about feelings.

It is about faithfulness.

Dr. Andersen compared evangelism to farming:

Farmers do not plant seeds only when they feel goosebumps.

They plant seeds because seed produces harvest.

The same is true spiritually.

Every invitation is a seed.

Every conversation is a seed.

Every social media share is a seed.

And in a city like Garland, Texas—with thousands of people searching for hope—those seeds matter.

Evangelistic Services Are Different on Purpose

Revival services are designed with one goal in mind:

Reaching the lost.

That means the services will feel different from a typical church gathering.

According to the training shared during the message, evangelistic services are intentionally:

  • Evangelistic

  • Different

  • Sometimes distracting

The goal is not comfort.

The goal is transformation.

JTR Midweek Training

When new people walk into a Spirit-filled atmosphere, they encounter something many have never experienced before—the presence of God.

And that moment can change everything.

Worship Creates the Atmosphere for Miracles

One of the key principles emphasized during the message was the power of worship.

Dr. Andersen encouraged believers to approach worship with three commitments:

Immediate Worship

Don’t wait for the right song.

Don’t wait for the right atmosphere.

Worship immediately.

Collective Worship

Revival happens when the entire church worships together.

When visitors see genuine worship, it gives them permission to respond to God.

Demonstrative Worship

God gave us voices, hands, and hearts to worship Him.

When believers worship openly, it creates an environment where people feel free to encounter God.

The Role of the Church in the Altar

Another powerful reminder from the message was this:

Everyone is part of the altar team.

Revival is not limited to pastors or evangelists.

Every believer can pray with someone.

Every believer can encourage someone.

Every believer can help lead someone closer to Jesus.

Dr. Andersen outlined three essential elements that help people respond to God at the altar:

  1. Repentance

  2. Worship

  3. Faith

When people sincerely repent, lift their voices in worship, and believe that God can change their lives, incredible things begin to happen.

People receive the Holy Spirit.
Lives are healed.
Families are restored.

And revival spreads.

Make Baptism Easy

Another key focus of the message was baptism.

Scripture teaches that baptism in the name of Jesus brings the remission of sins.

Acts 2:38 declares:

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

The message emphasized that churches should never make baptism difficult for people who believe.

If someone believes in Jesus and wants to follow Him, they should be welcomed into the waters of baptism.

Because sometimes one moment of obedience becomes the beginning of a completely transformed life.

Revival in North Texas Is Just Beginning

The vision for the Jesus Tent Revival extends far beyond one event.

The goal is to see revival spread throughout North America and beyond.

JTR Midweek Training

Teams are already preparing to take this evangelistic movement to cities across the United States and even into Canada.

But revival begins locally.

It begins in churches like North Cities.

It begins in cities like Garland.

And it begins with believers who are willing to participate.

A Prayer for Breakthrough in Garland

As the service concluded, the church prayed together for breakthrough.

Breakthrough in families.
Breakthrough in the church.
Breakthrough in the region.

Because when God moves, everything changes.

And we believe revival is coming to:

  • Garland

  • Plano

  • Murphy

  • Richardson

  • Rowlett

  • Wylie

  • Collin County

  • Dallas County

  • Rockwall County

But revival requires participation.

And the greatest move of God in our region may be closer than we think.
