Deaf Unity
This Connect Group exists to build a community where Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals can genuinely connect in a space designed for full accessibility.
We create meaningful Deaf–Hearing fellowship through time together, shared Bible study, and appropriate outreach.
A major part of what we do is offer ongoing interpretation training and mentorship for developing interpreters, focusing on complex church concepts like music, imagery, and storytelling. We also organize church-wide events to educate the hearing congregation about Deaf-specific needs and strengthen the connection between both communities.
Target Audience: Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Individuals, ASL Interpreters (Certified and Trainees), and all individuals who want to sign or have connections to the Deaf Community
