The Value of One

Jesus tells three parables of the lost: The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin, and The Lost Son. Sheep have a tendency to wander off. They can drift away from the flock without even knowing it. The same thing can happen with people in their relationship with the Lord. Jesus does not tell why the sheep was lost. He only expresses the joy the shepherd has in finding the missing one out of one-hundred sheep. With the lost coin, the woman searches the entire house until she finds the missing one out of ten coins. As for the Prodigal Son, the father is overjoyed when his son returns.

With each parable, the value of the lost increases. All three were found. Whether it is one out of 100, one out of 10 or one out of two, the Lord is very intentional about His search for the one. He is very intentional about His relationship with each one of us.

Pastor Terry shows us why it is never too late to begin or even renew a right relationship with Christ.
