Challenges for the Church

Over time we have witnessed the same challenges in the church that the 1st century church witnessed. Churches in the 1st century did not operate under a single-pastor model yet many present-day churches do. They had elders, bishops, and operated in the five-fold ministry. Each of the New Testament epistles addressed various church problems.

James speaks about practical Christianity. It addresses subjects like: trying our faith, overcoming temptation, hearing and doing what the Word says, dealing with prejudice, and understanding faith and works. Bishop Hargrove helps us navigate through the deep challenges we face as a Church.

First, I want to say how I love North Cities United Pentalcostal Church! This is a church for ALL people! I love what I feel in the church’s atmosphere. The man of God is humble and he loves God. The word of God is preached in its entirety! I want to be an active member in this house of faith. I want to join the discussion of embracing the journey. God gave me the perfect vision on what this kind of journey looks like. A journey where HE is reverence and our relationship with HIM accounts for our strength and willingness to serve. The very power we have comes from our OBEDIENCE to God and HIS purpose.
